How does excavator magnet work?

An excavator magnet works by utilizing a powerful magnetic field generated by an electromagnet. When activated, the magnet creates a magnetic attraction that securely grips and lifts ferrous materials, such as steel, iron, or scrap metal. The magnet is typically attached to the excavator’s boom or arm and is controlled through the machine’s hydraulic system, allowing for precise operation and efficient material handling.
